A proposal is a complete sales document you send to win a deal. Where an estimate is mainly a price list, a proposal tells the story: who you are, what the client needs, how you will do it, when, and what it costs. You write it from a template, the price table is built from your items, and the client accepts it online.
Open Proposals in the left menu. Every client and lead also has a Proposals tab with an Add proposal button. If you do not see the menu, an administrator switches on Proposal in Settings → Modules.
| Status | What it means | What your client sees |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | You are still writing it. Clients do not see drafts in their portal. | Nothing |
| Sent | Sent with Send to client / Send to lead, or marked as sent. | New |
| Accepted | The client accepted it, or you marked it accepted. | Accepted |
| Declined | The client rejected it, or you marked it rejected. | Rejected |
The proposal list and page show Last email seen, Email seen count and Last preview seen, and you are notified when the client opens the e-mail or the proposal. Call them while it is fresh.
