Create a proposal in five steps: Add proposal, choose a template, add the items, write the content with the price table, and Send to client or Send to lead.
How to create and send a proposal
A good proposal is mostly writing, and NIZU does the rest: the template gives the structure, the variables fill in the client and your company, and the price table is built from the items you add.
1. Create the proposal
Go to Proposals and click Add proposal (or use the Proposals tab of a client or a lead).
Fill in the Proposal date and Valid until, and choose the Client/Lead. The list shows "Client: ..." and "Lead: ..." entries.
Optional: TAX, Second TAX, a Note, custom fields, and the Company if you have several.
Click Save. The proposal opens as a Draft. If your workspace has a Default proposal template, its text is already in the content.
2. Choose a template
Under the content editor, click Change template. Pick one of your own templates or a Ready-made one (IT consulting, software development, marketing, real estate, logistics and many more). The template replaces what is in the editor, so choose it before you start writing. Nothing is saved until you click Save.
3. Add the items
In the Proposal items card, click Add item.
Pick an item from your list, or + Create new item. Enter Quantity and Rate, and a unit type if useful.
Use the pencil on the Discount line for a discount before or after tax, in % or as a fixed amount.
4. Write the content
Edit the text like a document. Under the editor, Available variables lists the tags you can use; click one to copy it and paste it in your text. The most useful:
{PROPOSAL_ITEMS}: the full price table with totals. Keep it in your text: without it, the client does not see the prices.
{PROPOSAL_TO_COMPANY_NAME}, {PROPOSAL_TO_ADDRESS}: the client's details.
Click Save, or Save & show to save and open the preview. The Preview, Print, View PDF and Download PDF buttons let you check the final result.
5. Send it
Click Send to client (or Send to lead).
Choose the contact in To, add CC or BCC if needed, and check the subject and message.
Leave Attach PDF ticked to attach the proposal, and click Send.
The proposal becomes Sent. You can also share it with Copy public link, Send link by email, or the WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn and Facebook buttons of the share menu; then use Mark as Sent in the Proposal info menu.
Change or reuse a proposal
Clone proposal (Proposal info menu) copies the content, items and discount into a new draft.
With Enable lock state on, an accepted proposal can no longer be edited.
Add Tasks, private Reminders and Comments from the proposal page.
