Sales Commission is not a stand-alone silo — it reads from and writes to the core modules already in your NIZU Cloud WorkSpace. That integration is what lets it record commissions automatically and keep them reconciled with your accounting. Here is how each connection works.
Invoices are the backbone of commission tracking. When an invoice tied to a subscription is created, the app records a commission for the responsible sales rep. Every commission is linked to a specific invoice, and if that invoice's totals later change (for example a line item is added or removed), the linked commission's sale amount and commission amount are refreshed automatically.
The Subscription purchase / renewal trigger fires when the first invoice of a subscription is created, so recurring-revenue businesses can reward reps on new subscriptions and renewals.
The Invoice paid trigger fires when a payment is recorded against an invoice. This lets you pay commissions only on money actually received, using the payment amount as the sale amount.
Clients connect referrals and commissions together. When a visitor signs up through a rep's referral link, the new client is automatically assigned to that rep as the owner. A commission can only be credited to a rep for a client that is in the rep's own portfolio, which keeps attribution accurate.
Payouts are recorded in the Expenses module. When you create a payout, the app generates a linked expense using the default expense category configured in the Sales Commission Settings tab — so commission payments appear in your books like any other cost. Deleting a payout reverts its commissions to Approved.
The Plans feature links a team's public pricing plans to catalogue Items. The plan's title, price, billing cycle, description and payment IDs are all read from the linked item, so you manage pricing in one place.
Sales teams are built from your existing staff Users. Access is governed by the standard NIZU Roles system: the app adds its own General and Administration permissions to the role editor. A Referral link tab is also injected into every staff member's profile page.
Sales Commission adds its own reporting page with KPIs, leaderboards and per-team and per-rep performance, complementing the WorkSpace's core reporting so sales performance sits alongside the rest of your business metrics.
