How to install the Translations Contributor app

The Translations Contributor is installed like any other NIZU Cloud app.

Installation steps

1. Go to Settings.
2. Open Apps.
3. Search for Translations Contributor.
4. Click Install.
5. Click Activate.

Activation automatically creates the app's staging table in your workspace database. No manual database changes are required.

After activation

A Translations Contributor entry appears in the left menu for staff who have permission to use it. If you do not see it, grant the permission as described below.

Granting access

1. Go to Settings → Team & roles (Staff roles).
2. Edit the role you want to give access to.
3. Under Translations Contributor, enable:
   • Translate — browse languages and save drafts.
   • Approve translations for publishing — approve staged drafts (managers only).
4. Save the role.

Administrators always have full access without any extra configuration.

Note

This is an internal, development-oriented app intended for the workspace where translations are prepared. It does not need to be installed in every customer workspace.
