What is the Translations Contributor app?

The Translations Contributor is an internal NIZU Cloud app that gives your team and trusted external collaborators — including professional and sworn translators — a single, structured place to translate the whole platform. It collects every translatable text ("language key") from the Core App and from every installed app, merges them into one editable list per language, and stages each contribution for review before it is published into the product.

The problem it solves

NIZU Cloud ships in many languages. Those translations live in dozens of binary language files scattered across the platform and its apps. Editing those files by hand is slow, error-prone, and unsafe to hand to an outside translator. The Translations Contributor turns that scattered set of files into a clean, guided translation workflow.

How it works in short

1. The app scans all language files on disk and builds one catalogue per language.
2. A translator picks a category (Core App or a specific app), then a language, and sees every key with the English source text beside an editable field.
3. Filters — All, Missing, Untranslated, Done — let the translator focus on what still needs work.
4. Saved edits are stored as drafts. A manager approves them.
5. A separate, secure publishing service picks up approved translations and publishes them into the product for every workspace.
