How to use Marvin
Ask a question
- Click Marvin in the left menu.
- Type your question in plain language, for example
“What is the total of invoice #586?”.
- Press Send. Marvin authorizes the request, fetches the record live
and replies in the chat.
Your history
Marvin behaves like any other contact. Your conversation is kept, so you can scroll back
through everything you have asked. A new reply from Marvin appears as an unread message,
exactly like a message from a colleague, and is marked read when you open the chat.
What Marvin can answer
Marvin only ever answers from data you are allowed to see. If you ask about a record that
is not yours, Marvin simply cannot find it — there is no way to read another person's
data by changing a number in your question.
For administrators
- Open Marvin → Conversations to review exchanges between users and
Marvin for quality.
- Adjust the persona, answer length and provider under Settings → Marvin.
Tips
- Be specific: include the invoice number, project name or date you mean.
- Ask follow-up questions — the conversation stays in one thread.
- If Marvin says it does not have the data, it genuinely was not in the authorized record.
