Before creating an event, go to Items and create an item of type Event tickets. Set its price and its stock (the number of tickets available). If guests need to make a choice when buying a ticket — for example a meal or a table — add up to four options on the item; they will show up as the "Choice" field on each ticket.
Tickets are sold through NIZU's normal Store checkout, using the item you linked to the event. When a client completes an order for that item, a ticket row is created automatically for each unit purchased, and it appears on the event's guest list.
Open an event from the events list to see its ticket/guest list: ticket number, order, guest name, email, phone, company, chosen option, whether it was a free ticket, and whether it has been scanned. Click a ticket to edit the guest's details or its scanned status.
Free tickets do not create an order or an invoice, but they do reduce the event's remaining stock like any other ticket, and are clearly marked as "Free" in the guest list.
From the event's detail page:
Staff with the "Scan tickets" permission can open a ticket and toggle its Scanned status, without being able to see or change any other guest detail. This makes it possible to give door/gate staff exactly the access they need and nothing more.
