How to use AI Reports
Option A: Start from a template (fastest)
- Open AI Reports from the sidebar.
- In the Start from a template gallery, click a template such as Monthly revenue summary, Overdue invoices analysis, Project portfolio overview or Team workload & task status.
- The report opens. Click Generate report.
- NIZU computes the figures, the AI writes the report, and it opens in a new tab.
Option B: Create a custom report
- Open AI Reports and click Create custom report.
- Enter a title.
- Choose a data source (Invoices, Projects or Tasks). A preview of the available figures appears.
- Tick the data sections you want included.
- Type what report you want in plain language.
- Choose the output options (charts, tables, explanation) and click Save.
- Open the report and click Generate report.
Viewing a report
Each time you generate, a Run is created and listed under the report with its date and status. Click the eye icon (or the run title) to open the rendered report — headline, key metrics, charts and narrative — in a new tab.
Rating a report
On a completed run, click the star icon to rate it Good, OK or Bad and add notes. This helps you track which reports were useful.
Re-running a report
Open any saved report and click Generate report again to produce a fresh run with up-to-date figures. The report definition is reusable; each generation is a separate run.
Tips
- Be specific in your request: mention the comparison or decision you care about.
- Smaller, focused reports are clearer than asking for everything at once.
- If a generation fails, check that your provider API key is set and valid in Settings.
