Clients search the store, open a product page, add items to the cart, adjust the quantities and click Place order. Visitors can do the same and get an account as they order.
How clients shop: browse, cart and place an order
Shopping in the NIZU Store works like any online shop, on a computer or a phone. This is what your clients see, so you can guide them.
1. Find the products
Open Store from the client portal menu (or the Store link of your public pages).
Type in Search to find a product by name or description, or choose a category in the - Category - list. More products load with Load more.
Click the eye icon (Item details) to open a product's own page with photos, overview, specifications and related products.
2. Fill the cart
Click Add to cart. The button turns into Added to cart and a green Checkout button appears.
The bag icon at the bottom right opens the cart. Use − and +, or click the quantity to type it. Going below 1 removes the line. The quantity cannot go above the stock.
The cart shows the Sub Total, the taxes and the Total, and stays in that browser, even after logging in.
3. Place the order
Click Process Order (or Checkout).
Check the lines. A logged-in client can add a Note, attach files, fill in your order custom fields and use Add item for one more product.
For event tickets, fill in each guest's first name, last name, e-mail and phone.
Click Place order.
The client then sees the order with its status and a Download PDF button, or, when you take payment at checkout, the invoice with the payment buttons (see Get paid when an order is placed). Their orders stay in Orders in the portal, with the linked invoices and payments.
Visitors without an account
When the store is open before login, visitors browse and fill a cart like clients. At checkout:
If Accept order before login is off, they are asked to sign in first. Their cart is kept.
If it is on, they fill in their name, whether they are an organization or an individual, company name, e-mail and a password, and click Place order. NIZU creates their client account and sends them a welcome e-mail with their login.
Good to know
Clients cannot change prices or taxes: they come from your items and settings.
There are no shipping address fields at checkout. Ask for delivery details with an order custom field if you need them.
Your team is notified of every new order. The client is not sent a confirmation e-mail at that moment; they are e-mailed when you change the order's status (see Order statuses).
