Add an item with a title, photos, a category and a price, tick Show in client portal, choose what its product page shows, and it appears in your Store.
Prepare your products for the Store
The Store shows the items from your Items list. A product that sells well has a clear title, good photos, a category and a price; NIZU builds its card in the store and its own product page from that.
1. Create the item
Go to Sales → Items and click Add item.
Fill in the Title and the Description. The description is what clients read on the product page and what the store search looks in.
Choose a Category (required). Clients filter the store by category.
Enter the Rate and, if useful, the Unit type (hours, pc...). The store shows it as "/unit" after the price.
Set the Default tax, or leave it empty to let NIZU work out the tax for each order from where you and your customer are.
Choose the Type:
Standard: a product or service without stock.
Stock: enter the Stock. It goes down with every order, and the store shows "Out of stock!" at zero.
Event Tickets: a ticket with a limited number of places. The buyer gives each guest's details at checkout, and you can offer up to four options.
Subscription and metered items are not sold in the store.
Tick Show in client portal. Without it, the item stays out of the store.
Click Save.
2. Add photos
Use Upload Image to add photos. The first image is the cover on the store card; drag the photos to change the order. All photos appear in the product page gallery, with zoom.
3. Choose what the product page shows
In the Product page card of the item, untick the parts you do not need: Highlights, Gallery, Overview, Specifications, Availability and stock, Reference codes, Custom fields, Related products. Click View the product page to see the result. Brand, Model and SKU, when filled in, appear in the specifications.
Categories
Manage them in Settings → Sales & finance → Item categories with Add category. Related products on a product page come from the same category, so group items the way a client would look for them.
Good to know
The store lists items in alphabetical order of their title. Start titles with the word a client would look for.
For a Stock item, always fill in the stock, even when it is 0. An empty stock field shows the item as out of stock.
