Build an estimate request form, publish it or embed it on your website, and every request arrives in NIZU as a new request (and a new lead when the person is unknown), ready to turn into an estimate.
Estimate requests: let clients ask for a quote
Estimate requests let people ask you for a quote themselves. You design a short form once; clients fill it in from their portal, and visitors fill it in on your website. Each request lands in NIZU with the answers, and an unknown visitor becomes a new lead automatically.
1. Build a request form
Go to Estimates → Estimate Request Forms and click Add form.
Give it a Title (required) and a Description. Choose:
Status: Active or Inactive.
Auto assign estimate request to: the team member who handles these requests.
Public: tick it so visitors without a login can use the form.
Enable attachment: lets people add files, such as a plan or a photo.
Save, then click the form's title to add your questions with Add field. A field can be Text, Textarea, Select, Multi Select, Email, Date, Time, Number, External link, Multiple Choice or Checkboxes, and can be required. Drag the fields to order them, and use Preview to try the form.
2. Share it
A public form has a link (the Yes in the Public column). Your list of public forms is at /request_estimate on your workspace address.
The Embed column gives a ready code with a Copy button to place the form on your own website.
Clients who log in see a Request an Estimate button on their Estimates page and can use any active form.
Visitors fill in their contact details (first name, last name, company, e-mail, address, phone), then your questions, and click Request an Estimate. In the Estimate request settings tab you can hide contact fields you do not need.
3. What happens with a request
If the e-mail belongs to a known contact, the request is filed under that client or lead.
Otherwise NIZU creates a new lead with that person as contact, so it enters your sales pipeline.
The assigned person is notified, and the client or lead page shows "There is an estimate request awaiting your attention."
4. Handle the request
Open Estimates → Estimate Requests. Filter by Assigned to or Status.
Open a request to read the answers. Mark it Processing while you work on it.
Click Add estimate. The new estimate is linked to the request and shows its answers at the top, so the details stay in view while you price it.
When the estimate is ready, mark the request Estimated. This is not done automatically.
The request statuses are New, Processing, Estimated, Hold and Canceled. Staff can also enter a request for a client with Create estimate request, for example after a phone call.
