Clients answer an estimate from the public link (no login) or from their client portal: Accept with name, e-mail and an optional signature, or Reject. You are notified at once.
How your client accepts or rejects an estimate
Your client does not need to call or reply by e-mail. They open the estimate, read it, and click Accept or Reject. You are notified, and the estimate's status changes by itself.
From the public link (no login)
The e-mail you send contains a public link. Anyone who has it sees the estimate with your logo and two buttons:
Accept asks for a Name and an Email and, when Add signature option on accepting estimate is on in the settings, a drawn Signature. After clicking Accept the page says "Estimate accepted".
Reject records the answer at once. The page then says "Estimate rejected".
Once the client has answered, the buttons disappear.
From the client portal
A contact who logs in to your client portal finds the estimate under Estimates, shown as New. They can click Mark as Accepted (with the signature box when the setting is on) or Mark as Rejected, download the PDF, print it and, when comments are switched on, write a comment.
What you see
The status changes to Accepted or Declined, and you get a notification.
On an accepted estimate the Signer info card shows the name, e-mail, date and signature of the person who accepted.
You can always correct the status yourself from the Estimate info menu: Mark as Accepted, Mark as Declined or Mark as Sent.
A signature with full evidence: NIZU Sign
When the estimate must be signed with a full audit trail, install the NIZU Sign App and switch on Estimates in Settings → NIZU Sign. A NIZU Sign card then appears on the estimate with a Send for signature button. When everyone has signed, the estimate is marked Accepted for you. The normal Accept button keeps working next to it.
Good to know
The public link works as soon as the estimate exists, even as a draft. Only share it when the estimate is ready.
The public page has no PDF button: clients who want the PDF use the attachment in the e-mail or the client portal.
