Events management: you can now hand out complimentary tickets. Open an event and use “Issue free tickets” to give one or more tickets to a client without an order and without an invoice.
Issue a single ticket and you can fill in the guest straight away — name, e-mail, phone, company and, when the event offers choices (a meal, a seat category), the guest’s choice. Issue several at once and the tickets are created empty, ready to be completed one by one afterwards.
Free tickets are marked as such: the ticket list has a new “Free” column, and every complimentary ticket carries a green Free badge so it is never confused with a ticket that was paid for.
Complimentary tickets take a seat like any other ticket — the event’s remaining stock goes down accordingly, and you are stopped from giving away more tickets than the event still has.
A new role permission, “Issue free tickets”, decides who is allowed to give tickets away. It is off for everyone except administrators until you grant it in Settings → Roles.
Events management: the ticket page has a new “Print tickets” button that produces a ready-to-print A4 PDF of every ticket for that event — 18 tickets per page, laid out 3 across and 6 down, with a dashed cut line around each one.
Every printed ticket carries a QR code of its ticket number, so the door can scan it, next to the event name, the date and time, the address, the guest and the ticket number itself. Complimentary tickets are marked “Free” on the print as well.
Tickets that have no guest filled in yet are printed under the name of the client they belong to, so a batch of complimentary tickets can be handed over without being blank.
Events management: a second button, “Print name labels”, produces a sheet of stick-on badges for the guests — 33 labels of 63.5 x 25.4 mm per A4 sheet, 3 across and 11 down, matching the usual die-cut label stock.
Each badge shows the event name, the guest’s first and last name in large type, and the company or client underneath. Nothing is printed between the labels, so no ink ends up on the backing sheet.
Updates
The Order column of the event ticket list no longer shows an empty link for tickets that were never bought — it simply shows a dash.
