WhatsApp Shop: Channel Messages. Shop owners can now write a message once, tick the shops it is for, choose one or more days and times, and have it posted automatically to each of those shops' WhatsApp channels.
Every post ends with the shop's own ordering link automatically, so a message sent to ten shops goes out as ten messages, each carrying the right link. Typing a link into the message is refused, with the offending text quoted back.
A message can be a text, a photo or a video, with a live preview showing exactly what a customer will receive, including the link.
Several dates can be chosen at once: picking 10 shops and 3 dates schedules 30 messages, and the screen shows that total before anything is confirmed.
Any message can be sent again to other shops, or on other days, with one click — the words and the picture stay exactly as they were.
The preview is shown as a real WhatsApp message — the shop's channel name, the green bubble, the photo or video, the link and the send time — so you can see exactly what your customers will receive before anything is scheduled.
A checklist next to the Schedule button shows what is still missing while you fill the form in, and ticks each item off as you go. Pressing Schedule too early does not fail silently: it tells you, by name, what still needs doing and takes you to it.
A message that fails is tried again automatically ten minutes later. The list shows every message as scheduled, sent, failed, retrying or failed again, with the reason and the moment of the next attempt.
A message that has not gone out yet can be moved to another moment, sent immediately, or deleted — on its own or together with the rest of the same post.
Updates
WhatsApp Shop: a shop that cannot receive a message yet is now listed with the reason (no WhatsApp number, no shop link, or no WhatsApp channel) instead of being left out of the list.
WhatsApp Shop: Channel Messages is available in all thirteen platform languages.
Fix
WhatsApp Shop: choosing when a message goes out no longer loses what was entered. A date typed by hand used to disappear as soon as you clicked elsewhere, and a typed time was silently replaced by midnight — dates are now chosen from the calendar and times from a list.
The emoji picker now opens directly under its button, stays on top of whatever is beneath it and is never cut off at the bottom of the screen. Outside the Team Messenger it could be drawn far above the button, hidden behind the next panel, or with its bottom row off screen.
Clicking an emoji now actually adds it to the message. On screens outside the Team Messenger the picker would open and respond normally but insert nothing. This also fixes the emoji picker in the Support inbox reply box.
