How to install NIZU Live Testing
NIZU Live Testing is installed like any other NIZU app, from your workspace Settings. You need an administrator account to install and activate apps.
Step-by-step
- Open Settings from the main menu of your NIZU workspace.
- Go to the Apps section.
- In the Search box, type the app name: Live Testing.
- Open the app from the results and click Install.
- After it installs, click Activate.
That is it. Installing creates the app's database tables in your workspace, and activating makes the app available in the menu.
After activation
- A Live Testing entry appears in the left menu (for users who have permission to access it).
- Open Settings → Live Testing to configure the pass-rate threshold and the live-race refresh interval.
Set permissions
By default the app is hidden until you grant access. Open your team Roles settings and enable the Live Testing permissions for the roles that need them:
- Access Live Testing — see the app and its menu.
- Manage products — create and edit products and bind projects to products.
- Manage test suites & cases — build suites, cases and steps.
- Execute test cases — claim and run cases in a cycle.
- File defects — manage defects and regressions.
- Sign off runs — approve a completed test run.
- Override the deploy gate — administrator-level override.
Because permissions are off by default, teams that should not see the app (for example Sales or Support) simply never receive these permissions and the app stays hidden for them.
Uninstalling
If you ever deactivate or uninstall the app from the same Apps screen, the menu entry is removed. Uninstalling also removes the app's data, so export anything you need first.
