Create the ticket item Before creating an event, go to **Items** and create an item of type **Event tickets**. Set its price and its stock (the number of tickets available). If guests need to make a choice when buying a ticket for example a meal or a table add up to four options on the item; they will show up as the "Choice" field on each ticket. ### 2. Create the event 1. Open **Events management** in the left sidebar. 2. Click **Add event**. 3. Fill in the title, city, country, start date and end date. 4. Link the event to the ticket item you created in step 1. 5. Optionally link the event to a project. 6. Save. ### 3. Let guests buy tickets Tickets are sold through NIZU's normal Store checkout, using the item you linked to the event. When a client completes an order for that item, a ticket row is created automatically for each unit purchased, and it appears on the event's guest list. ### 4. View the guest list Open an event from the events list to see its ticket/guest list: ticket number, order, guest name, email, phone, company, chosen option, whether it was a free ticket, and whether it has been scanned. Click a ticket to edit the guest's details or its scanned status. ### 5. Issue complimentary tickets 1. From the event's detail page, click **Issue free tickets**. 2. Choose the client the tickets are for. 3. Enter a quantity from 1 to 50. 4. For a single ticket, you can fill in the guest details right away; for several tickets at once they are created empty and can be filled in later, one by one, from the guest list. Free tickets do not create an order or an invoice, but they do reduce the event's remaining stock like any other ticket, and are clearly marked as "Free" in the guest list. ### 6. Print tickets and name labels From the event's detail page: - **Print tickets** produces an A4 sheet with all tickets for the event, each with a QR code that encodes the ticket number, ready to be scanned at the door. - **Print name labels** produces a sheet of standard A4 name-badge labels (33 per sheet) with each guest's name, ready for a badge printer or label paper. ### 7. Scan tickets at the door Staff with the "Scan tickets" permission can open a ticket and toggle its **Scanned** status, without being able to see or change any other guest detail. This makes it possible to give door/gate staff exactly the access they need and nothing more.
